Artist Coverage Overview
Inker by InkShopGuard provides insurance coverage for tattoo and piercing artists who operate as independent contractors. It is critical for you to carry your own insurance policy so that you have the legal resources to protect you in case of a liability claim against you by a third party.
Policy Includes:
General Liability
General Liability coverage can help protect you if it is alleged that you caused bodily injury or property damage while performing your professional duties. Your insurer will pay to defend you in court including attorney fees and court fees, and is responsible for paying out any judgements within your coverage limits. Inker offers coverage limits of $1,000,000 for an individual incident with a $2,000,000 aggregate limit per policy period.
Products & Completed Operations
Have you ever made a spelling mistake on a client piece? This coverage protects you if a client brings a claim against you for faulty workmanship or selling them defective products.
Professional Liability
This coverage provides you with legal defense in case of errors & omissions in the course of performing your professional services. This could include damages for missing an appointment or deadline. This is an unique inclusion, as most policies don't include Professional Liability coverage.
This insurance coverage also extends to you while attending events or conventions.

If a client alleges they contracted an infectious or transmissible disease as a result of your negligence, this coverage means your insurer will defend you. For this coverage, Inker offers coverage limits starting at $25k up to $100k per policy period.

If you become involved in a physical altercation on the shop premises resulting in a claim of bodily injury, this coverage provides you with legal defense and indemnification. For this coverage, Inker offers coverage limits starting at $25k up to $100k per policy period.
